Beyerdynamic T1

Beyerdynamic are a well known name in the headphone industry and in the professional audio world. I have toyed with the idea of purchasing Beyers on many occasions, but never pulled the trigger… until now.

  • Style:  Semi-open
  • Frequency response:  5 – 50,000 Hz
  • Impedance:  600 ohms
  • Nominal SPL:  102 dB

    • Hi Alex,

I’ve only spent a short time with the Panda Mk2 amp and it’s very good, but a little bright for my tastes and headphones. It would pair really well with warmer headphones and is very detailed and clean.

Unfortunately I don’t have time to review everything extensively. Sorry!

  9. Nice, thorough overview. Thanks.

I understand that you put the T1, LCD-2, HD800 roughly into the same league. How about Grado’s Statement series, the GS1000?

Having tried recently the GS1000 vs LCD-2, I felt that LCD-2 were amazing even with lower quality DAC & amp, while GS1000 would have needed more sophisticated equipment (not necessarily more expensive) to make it really shine. It also seemed to me as if the Grados come with a certain, clearly defined audio signature which, while awesome (for certain types of music?), chips away from the Grados sounding “natural”..
